Description de la mission :

DCTR is a cultural association with the aim of promoting social inclusion and improving the quality of life through artistic activities, emotional development activities and the promotion of environmental sustainability.
With the informal and non-formal, voluntary and participatory dynamics, the intention of DCTR is to develop the human potential of the individual and of the community as a whole, highlighting the contribution of each one to the construction of cohesion and social balance. At DCTR it is believed that great positive transformations arise when
people intersect and connect, bringing profound and lasting change to the community.

Tâches du volontaire :

-Volunteers will engage in a diverse range of tasks that include organizing and participating in second hand clothing fairs, continuing to develop a mobile application that maps second hand clothing stores, and conducting awareness campaigns against food waste. Volunteers will have the chance to collaborate with local schools, in Erasmus+ projects, engage in event planning, and actively contribute to community-focused

 

-Volunteers can expect a dynamic daily routine that involves a mix of hands-on activities, learning opportunities, and collaboration with other volunteers and community Activities may include workshops on sustainability, event planning sessions, involvement in community outreach, and dedicated time for app development and mapping.

All expenses related to accommodation, water, electricity and internet will be covered by DCTR.
Before your arrival, we will have online meetings to prepare the volunteering, and we will maintain a clear and regular communication with the selected volunteers.

Profil recherché :

We are looking for two types of volunteer profiles, both of which must have an interest in sustainability and climate change solutions. It’s important to have effective communication for community awareness, as well as being flexible and able to adapt to the different challenges you will be faced with. It will only be required to have a basic level of English or Portuguese.

#volunteer l

-Programming knowledge is needed to continue the development of a mobile application;

-experience with Outsystems is not mandatory, however it’s a plus.

#volunteer 2

– experience in multimedia, image and video capture;

-skills in image and video editing (for continuing the development of the application’s layout).
