Volunteering for the Promotion of World Heritage and Sustainable Development – Mexico

• Collection of field data and testimonies from ongoing WHV projects in Mexico
• Creation of visual and written communication materials
• Development of monitoring tools
• Participation in the preparation, logistics, and facilitation of WHV camps in sites like Tochimilco, Calpan or Huejotzingo
• Co-leading local and international volunteer teams, acting as intercultural mediators and documenting good practices in site conservation and community engagement.
• Support for site-based conservation or environmental restoration activities, such as cleaning and maintenance, small-scale repairs, or heritage signage projects in coordination with local communities and site custodians
• Assistance in coordination with INAH and local authorities, helping bridge youth participation with institutional conservation efforts
• Implementation of World Heritage Education activities in local schools and youth groups, based on World Heritage in Young Hands materials
• Design and facilitation of creative workshops (murals, storytelling, photography, digital mapping) to promote youth awareness about the significance of local World Heritage.
• Collaboration in community events, heritage days, or exhibitions highlighting the link between cultural heritage, sustainable tourism, and local identity
• Development of educational content in Spanish, French, and English to strengthen intercultural exchange and promote international visibility of Mexican WH sites.
• Creation of a personal project (documentary, podcast, photo exhibition, or educational toolkit) that reflects the volunteer’s learning journey and promotes intercultural understanding.
• Contribution to the IYV 2026 campaign through a digital or artistic initiative linking volunteering and sustainable development

Profil recherché

Interested in cultural heritage, sustainable development, international cooperation, architecture.
Age between 20 and 28 years
Good organizational and teamwork skills
Basic skills in photography and Spanish
