ASSOCIAZIONE “ANCHE NOI A CAVALLO” ETS in ASSOCIAZIONE “ANCHE NOI A CAVALLO”

The Equestrian Rehabilitation Center Anche noi a Cavallo (ETS), founded in 1987, is a specialized center for animal-assisted interventions. It is registered in the National Digital Pet Register and is authorized to provide therapeutic, educational, and recreational activities.
It is also a Medium Complexity Healthcare Facility authorized by the Western Friuli Health Authority providing clinical services and the only authorized specialized therapy center in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region for Animal-Assisted Interventions (AAI).
The “Anche Noi a Cavallo” Association Equestrian Rehabilitation Center is a welcoming environment nestled in the green Purlilies countryside, with indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, equipped play areas, a large covered and heated riding arena, and a spacious outdoor setting surrounded by greenery.

PROPOSED AND ACTIVITIES FOR VOLUNTEERS:
In this project, Anche noi a Cavallo, we are collaborating with the association Giovanni Paolo II, so the activities will take place partly at our headquarters and partly in the other building where the volunteers will be staying.
THE ACTIVITY FOR VOLUNTEERS TO BE CARRIED OUT AT THE “ANCHE NOI A CAVALLO”:
– Cataloging psychomotor skills materials (arranging and cleaning);
– Attending psychomotor skills sessions (including at schools/other institutions);
– Cataloging stationery;
– Once a week, washing and disinfecting riding equipment, helmets, etc.;
– Tidying up after activities (greasing saddles, arranging and cleaning tack);
– Tidying up after activities;
– Moving horses (if with previous skills);
– Caring for 5 species: horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, rabbits (feeding, opening in the morning and closing in the evening, cleaning rabbit/guinea pig cages, brushing and moving if possible);
– Organizing spaces before and after birthday parties;
– Supervising and participating in birthday activities;
– Preparing horses for therapy where possible (grooming);
– Resting horses in the paddocks after therapy;
– Assisting operators for the ASD group;
– Assisting with day care centers for young adults with disabilities;
– support for individual projects for children and young people with disabilities.

Gesichten Profil

Volunteer should be responsible, motivated, proactive, patient, tolerant and flexible to adapt to changes. Firstly, need to be high motivated to work with people with disability, secondly in the workshop activities and thirdly in living in Italy. Motivated to learn the Italian language. Determined to learn, dynamic, versatile, positive, curious, respectful, sensitive. Motivated for teamwork and educational paths. Able to share a flat with other young Europeans. Passionate for the activities we offer.
A good attitude toward animals is very important, and previous experience, especially with horses, is highly appreciated. Previous riding lessons are ideal. You have to be aware that ESC is not a vacation, it is not just traveling to another country, but it is a full-time learning experience in safe environment.
