ESC project in Jordan

Desert Bloom is a Jordanian nonprofit organization powering sustainable growth and creating long-term, positive impact on communities and individual lives. We empower individuals to unlock their full potential, equipping them to make meaningful contributions toward harmonizing the three pillars of sustainable development: People, Planet, and Prosperity.

Tasks of the participant:

–  interact with new culture, traditions

– support the organization with different tasks

– support the organization with different workshops on Saturday and local activities among the weeks

– ready to work 5 hours / day , 2 days off for weekend

– open to learn Arabic language (basics)

-Attending the on arrival training, mid -term training that is managed by Salto Euro Med

– ready to interact in English language

– do some social media coverage for the organization activities and digital tasks

– help the organization with implementing Erasmus + projects and activities.

– help the organization with writing proposal for activities and projects if possible

– Ready to interact with local communities.

Accommodation usually in a furnished apartment rented specifically for volunteers. It is generally preferable to house several volunteers together to encourage interaction and mutual support in adapting to and understanding the required tasks, with the assistance of a volunteer supervisor. The accommodation provides hot water, air conditioning, and clean rooms. Volunteers typically share a living room and a single bedroom for sleeping. A dedicated supervisor (mentor) from the organization monitors the volunteers and maintains contact with the organization’s director and management when necessary. The volunteer need to manage their food by himself/ herself , kitchen is usually also available , coffee machine and washing machine.

Profil recherché

Committed and responsible person , flexible, open to interact with new culture, ready to support the organization with different tasks, ready to support the organization with different workshops on Saturday and local activities among the weeks. Ready to work 5 hours / day , 2 days off for weekend. Speak a very good English language , better with some social media and digital skills. Having information or experience about Erasmus + projects is additional. Having experience in writing proposal for activities and projects is additional.

The organisation always hosts two volunteers at the same time and is looking for volunteers to carry out projects lasting between 6 and 12 months.
