Le Gouvernement du Grand-Duché du Luxembourg

Lourinhã is a coastal town located in Portugal, about 70 km north of Lisbon. Known for its beautiful beaches, welcoming community, and rich history, Lourinhã offers a peaceful environment with an authentic Portuguese atmosphere.
It’s also famous as the “Land of Dinosaurs”, thanks to its internationally recognized paleontological discoveries and the amazing Dino Parque Lourinhã, one of Europe’s largest dinosaur
theme parks.
The town has a relaxed lifestyle and friendly people. You’ll enjoy a mix of coastal nature, culture, and community life — perfect for a meaningful volunteer experience.

Tâches du volontaire:

As a volunteer, you will play an essential role and you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in various activities within our community. You will mainly work in our Leisure Activities Center (CATL), but you may also work on our other areas. You’ll always be supported by our team, ensuring you have the guidance needed.
Some of the activities you’ll be involved in:
Organizing and participating in fun activities for the children (presentations to share your culture, sports, art, games, workshops);
Helping with the supervision of children and ensuring their safety;
Supporting staff in maintaining a positive and inclusive environment.
You will work closely with local staff, children from 6 to 13 years old, and other international volunteers, gaining valuable experience in teamwork, intercultural communication, and community service.

If you have any ideas or suggestions for new activities to develop within the association, you are welcome to share them with the team so we can work together to bring those ideas to life.

Accomodation
When you arrive, you’ll be staying in either an apartment or a house. You might have a shared bedroom or a private one, but the bathrooms will be shared with the other volunteers. Your accommodation will also have leisure spaces, including a cozy living room where you can relax and hang out, as well as a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare your meals. The bathrooms follow European standards. Keep in mind that there’s no air conditioning or heating system in the house, but don’t worry—Wi-Fi is available. You’ll also have access to a washing machine, either at the house or at the organisation.
