We offer short-term and long-term volunteering. Short-term is from 2 weeks up to 59 days and long-term is from 60 days to 12 months.

The volunteering will be in A Coruña with active participation of Spanish and international volunteers. We aim to support solidarity in A Coruña by focusing on protecting cultural heritage, supporting sustainable rural development, raising awareness about fight against
cancer, supporting entrepreneurial learning and entrepreneurship education through the activities.

Tâches du volontaire:

1.Cultural Heritage Trainings: organizing series of non-formal trainings to increase the knowledge and awareness of young people between the age of 15-30 years old on local level about the importance of cultural heritages in A Coruña.

2.Non-formal Educational Games: organizing educational games focused on increasing the knowledge and awareness of children between the age 7-15 years old on local level about the importance of cultural heritages.

3.Guided Visits to Foundation Assets: offering monthly guided visits (in English and in Spanish) to the Pazo de Illobre in Betanzos in order to explain the history of house and present the facilities and the surroundings.

4.Raising Awareness about Cultural Heritages: presenting a campaign on raising awareness about cultural heritages on social media and in person with the young people in A Coruña.

5.My own Cultural Heritage Project: opportunity to develop a cultural heritage project with a support of people from the field.

6.Other Activities: youth information sessions, language club, trainings for volunteers.

The volunteers will be supported by a mentor throughout the whole project. The mentor will be there to answer questions, support volunteers during their activities, plan timeline and learnings. They will guide the volunteers in what they want to try/learn and will plan the activities
accordingly to decired learnings and the needs of the hosting organization. The volunteers will have evaluation and regular meetings with the mentor to reflect the volunteering activity.

The accommodation is located in A Coruña, where most of the volunteering activities will take place.
A Coruña is a picturesque coastal city located in the Galicia region of northwest Spain. The city is characterized by its charming historic center with cobblestone streets, traditional Galician architecture, and a beautiful waterfront.

This European Solidarity Corps opportunity is open to all young people from Programme Countries between the age of 18 – 30 years old.
Volunteers will be selected in a fair, transparent and objective way, no matter their ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or political opinion.
The selection process will be done with the cooperation between supporting organization and the hosting organization.
Someone:
-who demonstrates enthusiasm for cultural heritage, coupled with a genuine commitment to its preservation and promotion

-has strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for effectively engaging with diverse audiences

-with proficiency in managing social media platforms, with the ability to strategically disseminate our message and foster online community engagement

-with competence in graphic design, enabling the creation of visually compelling materials to support our initiatives

-with prior experience in non-formal education, cultural heritage, or related fields is advantageous

-with basic proficiency in Spanish is beneficial, facilitating communication and collaboration

-within our multicultural team and local community.
