Summer for Success – Youth Centre Villa Elba, Kokkola, Finland

2 volunteers from Luxembourg, Sofiean and Almina, have participated in the project “Summer for success” in Finland from 27 may to 3 july 2025.

“During the project 12 volunteers from various European countries carried out summer camps that were open to local and refugee children. The summer camps offered exciting and multicultural experiences for children aged 7-16, combining adventure, learning, and fun. The Adventure Heroes Camp (June 9-12) blended science and nature exploration, Restaurant Camp was a fun and collaborative experience where participants explored the joy of cooking together and trying new recipes (June 9-12 and June 16-19), Gourmet Adventure Camp (June 16-19) focused on outdoor cooking and cultural recipes, and Hobby Horse Camp (June 23-26) included hobby horse riding, obstacle courses, and competitions. Each camp also had traditional summer camp activities like swimming, playing and games.”
