The center was founded in order to help to fulfill the needs of children with disabilities and their families. The recipients of our services are children from 7 to 18 years old with mental disabilities, physical and complex disabilities, psychological development disorders (except for mental health problems) and their families. During the day children with disability are assisted by employees: doing sport, simple art works and daily duties together, learning new things. Our aim is to focus on enriching the children’s lives, building upon their skills, knowledge, emotions and unique abilities and strengths. A typical day in Social day care center: morning circle, handicrafts, lunch time, relaxation, active leisure, goodbye circle.

Tâches du volontaire :

TASKS: Main task is assistance for the kids with different disabilities, it contains helping them during daily routines and activities (sports, arts, everyday skills, music, games, etc.). Also, we expect that volunteer will communicate with kids (English / Lithuanian / other language, body language, gestures), ensuring their individual needs and creating individual relationship in between. After volunteer will get to know the center and kids, we expect him to lead once a week group activity for children.
